​Humphrey & Associates Inc, a leading provider of commercial and industrial electrical services throughout northeast Texas, was named the 2025 TEGG Contractor of the Year during ABM Franchising Group's 2026 Continuing Education Conference in San Diego.

Humphrey & Associates became a TEGG franchise in 1997 and has won Contractor of the Year six times.

"You know it all starts with a team," said Buster Kirkland, soon-to-retire Vice President of Humphrey & Associates, accepting the award on behalf of the team. "Please forgive me if I get emotional, but I’ve got to recognize these people.” He called out multiple of the team members and leaders on the stage by name, and concluded his remarks with “So with that, I’ll say thank you to everybody for the wonderful 28 years I’ve had.” 

Founded in 1977, Humphrey & Associates is a family-owned business that considers their employees, who own 50% of the company through an ESOP, as their most valued asset. Their teams provide electrical, mechanical, engineering and design, and preventative/proactive maintenance for industrial, healthcare, mission critical and commercial facilities.

The TEGG Contractor of the Year Award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to the most outstanding TEGG contractor. Criteria for achieving the award is based on, but not limited to, implementation of the TEGG system and overall sales activity and performance.
